New players are more than welcome!

Teams

We have youth sides competing in the Devon Youth Leagues at U10s softball pairs, U10 Hardball pairs, U11, U13, U17 & U19 level as well as offering hardball open-age cricket to transition our older playing members into the respective senior Men’s and Ladies teams.

We also run a Dynamos and All Stars programme at both our sites (Kensham Park & Rectory Park).

Winter Coaching

We begin indoor training ahead of the 2024 outdoor season in February. The club’s head of youth coaching Andy Buzza (Buzz About Cricket) will be overseeing the sessions which will be held at the Buzz About Cricket Centre in Kentisbeare.

We will commence with a Half Term Cricket day on Monday 12th Feb @ 10am.

We will then run weekly Sunday junior coaching sessions for all age groups from 6-7pm on Fridays from the 1st March.

Please get in touch to register early interest or find out more about how to get involved.

Membership

The club have taken the decision to significantly subsidise youth membership again for 2024.

The price will be £30 per child, which includes all winter & summer coaching sessions. This fee is for those players training & playing hardball cricket – this is suitable for juniors from year 3 (age 8 and above). Younger players should sign up for our All Stars or Dynamlos (soft ball) programmes. https://ecb.clubspark.uk/

There is a small additional charge for match fees.

Please note, the All Stars and Dynamos programmes will be priced separately and can be signed up for via the ECB website https://ecb.clubspark.uk/.

If you join the All Stars or Dynamos programmes we do not ask you to pay for an additional club membership.

How to Join

Bar & Food

The bar will be open and there will be food every Friday night so don’t worry about dinner before you arrive!

Keep an eye on our social media for lots of information about exciting events to come, everyone is welcome.

Scoring / Umpiring

We need volunteers to help with scoring and umpiring at our Junior games as well as supporting the coaches and manager with logistics. Our volunteer coaches and managers do a lot of work behind the scenes already, if we don’t have support from parents, it affects how we are able to support our young players as the role of an umpire and a scorer is essential.

If you are interested in scoring, you don’t have to have great knowledge of the game as a very simple-to-use scoring app can be used and training provided.

Volunteers

On a final note, we are always looking for volunteers at the club so if you are willing to step forward, please get in touch or speak with the club or a junior manager. We look forward to a great summer ahead and seeing as many parents and juniors as possible at one of the best grounds in the county!
