BANBURY at Basingstoke on Sunday, August 28 in Vitality Club T20 Cup Regional Finals Day semi-final

Following our superb success yesterday at Bridgwater we now travel to Basingstoke on Sunday, August 28 to play Home Counties Premier League side BANBURY. The game has a 1pm start. The winners of that game will then meet the winners of the earlier semi-final that day between Bexley and Hornchurch. Whoever comes out on top at Regional Finals Day will book a place at NATIONAL FINALS DAY on September 11.

Banbury currently sit third in the Home Counties Premier League which, with four games to play, is topped by High Wycombe (311 points). Second are Henley (285) and then its Banbury (249).

The rest of the league standings, after the August 6, matches is…….

Aston Rovers (245), Datchet (232), Buckingham Town (207), Finchhamstead (183), Oxford (182), Thame Town (177) and Tring Park (133).

Banbury’s current league form is that, since a June 12 defeat by six wickets to High Wycombe, they have lost just once, that a July 24, five wicket loss to Datchet. Last Saturday (August 6), they beat Oxford by six wickets.

As for Hornchurch – they play in the Essex League Premier Division and Bexley play in the Kent Premier League.
