I hope the start of 2024 has been a positive one for you and your families. As we enter a new year, much planning is already underway to ensure the Cricket Club has another positive season in 2024.
We’d love for more of our community to get involved with the club and invite you to read more about how you can. You might be surprised about what opportunities there are and how easy it is.
Whilst we have clear aims and objectives to continue to grow the club from a playing perspective at all levels (Juniors, Ladies as well as Senior Cricket), our ambitions also include continuing to ensure the Cricket Club is a key part of the community and offers something for everyone, including non-players or those that may not know much about the game.
There are many ways to get involved with the club, and whilst you may be looking to play (which is great – we cater for all levels of skill and experience), that’s by no means the only way you can become involved.
You may not realise but full training is offered (to include any qualifications required or desired) if you want to get involved as a scorer or umpire for any of our teams. No previous cricket experience is required. There are also plenty of ways to get involved more practically as we are seeking assistant grounds people to ensure the cricket club remains a great place to spend time all year round. What better way to spend an afternoon in the summer soon if you are green-fingered? Alongside these opportunities, there is always an ongoing need to support the club administration and running of the bar.
