Spring has well and truly sprung and the square – and outfield – are looking a picture as we prepare for the first of what will be three 1st XI pre-season friendly fixtures (Saturday’s – April 16 – home meeting with ABBBOTSKERSWELL).
With Spring having sprung, in keeping with the bright weather here’s our latest club news
* March 40 Club £100 Draw was won by Christopher Dean with number 34 – drawn by Simon Teal on 28th March 2022
* Club Action Force day (9 April 2022) was a very successful day for the Club. A magnificent band of13 people volunteered their services to get the Club ready for the new season. This is the largest Action squad for many a year. As a result, the entire front and side of the pavilion and the whole grandstand have been repainted white as have the boundary and kerb stones, the grandstand railings have now been painted gold so that the grandstand properly reflects the Club traditional colours of green and gold. Twenty-one new chairs have been collected from Barnstaple and are now proudly housed in the bar. The Action Force were royally treated to some excellent food donated and cooked by Ryan Gooding.

* On Saturday 10 April, the Kensham Club was packed as a result of the Bradninch Youth Club Bingo being held at the Club on Saturday 10 April (after the Action Force Day) and £600 was raised.
*It seems highly likely that, as a club, we will be fielding FOUR teams in the 2022/23 Cullompton & District Darts League – Yes, from humble beginnings of one team in the first season – we are now planning ahead for FOUR teams to be playing out of the Kensham Club – we shall, of course, update you, as and when on this exciting news.
