Getting Involved at Bradninch & Kentisbeare Cricket Club and Dates for the Diary

With the new season approaching there is plenty happening at the club over the next couple of months, both socially and on the field, and lots of opportunities for people to get involved.

Like most community clubs, we rely just as much on volunteers as we do players. Whether you want to play cricket, help on match days or in between, or simply lend a hand now and again, there is always something you can do.

Ways to get involved

Playing
We welcome new players of all ages and abilities. Seniors, juniors, returners and complete beginners are all encouraged to come along to training. We are also going to be starting a new walking cricket team which might able to those looking for some lower intensity exercise as well as a great opportunity to make new friends.

Umpiring and scoring
Every game needs umpires and scorers. No experience is required and support is available. It is a great way to stay involved with the game.

Volunteering and behind the scenes
There is plenty that happens off the pitch, including grounds work, match day setup, helping with junior cricket, supporting the bar and kitchen, events, and general club jobs. Even a small amount of time makes a big difference.

Sponsorship
We are also keen to hear from any local businesses or individuals who may be interested in sponsoring the club. Sponsorship helps fund junior cricket, maintain the ground and improve facilities. Options include teamwear, match days and events as well as boards, banners and hospitality. It is a simple way to support the club while gaining local exposure.
